What happened

On June 5, 2020, General Motors said it was designating $10 million for organizations that promote inclusion and racial justice, with $1 million going first to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. USA Today tied the announcement to CEO Mary Barra’s earlier letter to employees after George Floyd’s murder.

Those are company-stated donations. This file does not independently verify whether the $10 million was fully granted.
