What happened
In June 2020, after nationwide protests over George Floyd’s murder, Adidas said it would raise U.S. funding for programs that support the Black community to $20 million over four years, naming grassroots basketball, design education, and related efforts, plus scholarships for Black students. It also said at least 30% of new U.S. adidas and Reebok roles would be filled by Black and Latinx people.
Those statements are on the company’s own press site. The four-year spend window ran through about 2024. This file does not independently verify disbursement or hiring shares.

Mixed. A dated, dollar-specific Black-community pledge is more concrete than a slogan. It is still a pledge. The hiring percentage is a target.
